H&H Soul Food
H&H Soul Food, founded in 1959 by Inez Hill and Louise Hudson (Mama Hill and Mama Louise), has been a cultural centerpiece in Macon for decades. Serving “stick-to-ya-ribs soul food,” H&H is remembered for its historical connection to the Civil Rights Movement and its equally historical connections to some of Macon’s most well known people including the Allman Brothers Band. In 2007, Mama Louise was given a brick to be placed at the Georgia Music Hall of Fame walkway declaring her the “Mother of Southern Rock.”
Z Beans is proud to now be a part of such a monumental piece of Macon’s history!
